D.Marshall - SBAC. The way ahead /Industry/
Environmental issues are of fundamental importance to the growth of civil aviation. One of the conclusions reached during a recent study into noise and engine emissions was that to achieve significant reductions, it would be necessary to reconfigure airliner geometry. Instead of the traditional high aspect ratio wing and long, cylindrical fuselage, a blended wing and body, such as the NASA/Boeing configuration, may be more environmentally acceptable.
Третий этап испытаний самолета включал дозаправку в воздухе. Машина DA.2 первой выполнила "сухой" контакт с заправочным шлангом самолета VC.10 из 101-й эскадрильи.
It is important that the UK, a huge buyer of defence equipment, should have a clear industrial, as well as defence, policy. To this end, the SBAC has launched a Winning the Global Competition campaign and has a role in advising the government on the implications of defence policies on the aerospace industry.
SBAC believes the concept of a complete airframe manufacturer has become an anachronism. The way to future success is for companies to excel in niche technologies and skills, such as those offered by Marshall Aerospace, the UK’s leading privately owned aerospace company, specialising in design, development, maintenance, modification and conversion of military, civil and corporate aircraft.
