The journal of a roving spotter
Following publication of illustrations purporting to show a projected East German turbojet transport, Boeing have produced this drawing of their Model 473-13, one of the design studies which led to the Boeing 707. It closely resembles the East German project.
The Bulldog, G-ABBB, which was built as a demonstrator and is now being restored to flying condition at Filton. This picture shows it in its final form as a test-bed for the Aquila engine.
Latest allocation of a "G" designation for test and experimental flying is G-43, for Edgar Percival Aircraft Ltd. This E.P.9, marked G-43-2, is the fourth built; G-43-5 was seen at Stapleford early in January.
