Alas, Spencer Flack's immaculate Hawker Sea Fury FB.XI G-FURY/WJ244 is no longer with us, having crashed near RAF Waddington on August 2, 1981. This photograph, by Jeremy Flack, (no relation) was taken near Mildenhall on May 23, 1981. Pilot of the Sea Fury was Stefan Karwowski.
The photograph was taken on December 4, 1982 when I-SPIT was officially presented to the Italian press.

MICHAEL O'LEARY'S photograph features a Vultee BT-13 Valiant (nicknamed "Vibrator") on a pleasure trip over the Californian central valley. N68178, painted in yellow and blue Army Air Corps training colours, is one of several Valiants that have either been recently restored or are currently under restoration in the USA.
