It is one of those used at Desford for training direct-entry observers. There is not a tea-party in progress in the cabin - merely a navigational lesson.
Pre-war photograph of Coastal Command Anson I L7956. The type entered service in 1936 as a reconnaissance type, and the trainer version went into production in 1939.
