VM109 was painted standard RAF training yellow, with roundels and “P” prototype markings on the fuselage, red, white and blue fin flashes, and large roundels above and below the wings.

The starboard wing of the spoiler-equipped T-24 before covering. The very light secondary spar served only to prevent the wing ribs from distorting sideways under the tension of the doped fabric aft of the mainspar.
