FRENCH COUPES. Attractive two-seater designed by Yves Gardan and built by C.A.B. (Constructions Aeronautiques du Beam) is the GY-20 Minicab - note "Popeye" painted on fuselage behind cabin and inscribed on motor cowling.
FRENCH COUPES. Attractive two-seater designed by Yves Gardan and built by C.A.B. (Constructions Aeronautiques du Beam) is the GY-30 Supercab with refinements including retractable main undercarriage, fixed tip tanks and 90-h.p. Continental C-90 (max. speed 170 m.p.h.) in place of the GY-20's 65-h.p. Continental A-65 (max. speed 124 m.p.h.). The Minicab was first flown in February 1949 and the Supercab in February 1954.

The Ord-Hume GY-20 Minicab G-AWEP, built by Stan Jackson of Preston, a BAC engineer. This was the second Minicab built to the British drawings, and half a dozen are now flying, with many more on the way.
