ВВС заказали пять таких машин с поставкой с 2002 года (по программе SIVAM). Самолет отличается экипажем из семи, вместо пяти, человек, РЛС бокового обзора Ericsson Erieye с антенной в длинном обтекателе на верхней части фюзеляжа, защищенной линией обмена данных, новой авионикой и системой управления полетом, увеличенным запасом топлива и рядом других усовершенствований. В декабре 1998 года Греция заказала четыре таких самолета.
EMB-145RS (изначально EMB-120RS) - самолет дальнего радиолокационного обнаружения, который призван дополнять самолеты ДРЛОиУ EMB-145SA. Первые три самолета были заказаны с поставкой с 2001 года, причем данные машины имели практически те же конструктивные усовершенствования, что и EMB-145SA. Brazil’s fleet of E-99s is currently being upgraded as E-99Ms, the first having recently been redelivered.
Brazil's EMB-145AEW&C entered service in 2001. The aircraft are currently being upgraded to E-99M standard, which includes replacing the original Erieye radar with the more advanced Erieye ER.
The Forca Aerea Brasileira will receive the first of five upgraded E-99M AEW airborne early warning and control aircraft in mid-2020.

In addition to equipping the Svenska Flygvapnet’s Saab 340 Argus, the Erieye radar has been integrated on the Embraer EMB-145 and sold to Brazil, Greece and Mexico. The Flygvapnet data links the radar picture to receivers in the network centric-based defence system, whereas Brazil, Greece and Mexico carry radar operators/controllers in their aircraft.

One of the most unusual participants was the Brazilian Air Force Embraer R-99A, s/n 6704, from 276° GAv. This variant of the Embraer ERJ-145 is equipped with an Erieye radar fitted atop the fuselage for its airborne early warning and control role. One of five in service with the Brazilian Air Force, it is based at Anapolis AFB.
Following demonstrations to service and government officials at Pretoria, Brazilian Air Force R-99A, 6700, with Ericsson Erieye AEW&C radar, was exhibited in the static display.

R-99B Brazil

P-99
P-99, оснащенный подкрыльевыми пилонами для вооружения и спецоборудования, является одним из немногих в мире реактивных морских патрульных/противолодочных самолетов. Он также способен поражать надводные цели, вести радиотехническую разведку, ставить помехи, выполнять поисково-спасательные задачи, патрулировать прибрежную экономическую зону.

EMB-145I India
India's Embraer EMB-145I airborne early warning and control aircraft made its public debut at Aero India 2013 at Yelahanka Air Base, near Bangalore, in February. The second aircraft to fly, but first to be delivered, (KW3555, c/n 14501130, ex PT-ZNB) was displayed at the event. It arrived at the Defence Research and Development Organisation's (DRDO) headquarters at Bangalore on August 22, 2012. Work to install the aircraft's Indian-produced mission systems is coordinated by the DRDO and its Centre for Airborne Systems. It involves the installation of two active electronically scanned early warning radars (primary and secondary, one built into the other), command and control, communications- and electronic-intelligence, satellite communications and countermeasures systems. Flight-testing of the mission systems will begin shortly. The outstanding pair of EMB-145Is is due to arrive in India this year.
