Now undergoing certification trials in Norway, this Larsen Special is an all-metal aerobatic two-seater designed and built by Captain Carl L Larsen, chief pilot of Braathens SAFE Air Transport Company. First flown on 20 October 1970, the aircraft carries the same LN-II registration used by Capt Larsen on an earlier design which he built some 15 years ago. The new aircraft has a 100 hp RR-Continental O-200-A engine, wing span of 25 ft 5 in (7,75 m) and gross weight of 1,543 lb (700 kg). Maximum speed is 140 mph (225 km/h).
