John Stroud's photograph of Southampton J-BAID. Can it be identified?
Supermarine Southampton II J-BAID survived for 2 1/2 years in a scheduled passenger service with the Japanese name Kirin (Giraffe). Prior to this from 1929 to 1936 it was used for research by the Navy and it influenced a later version of the Type 89 (H2H1) flying boat.
