Talkback
Air Atlantique provides engineering and flight operations support for C-47B G-ANAF on behalf of Thales. Based at Coventry, the aircraft is engaged in Nimrod radar trials (hence the radome under the nose) against air and surface targets. Most of the trials are conducted off the south coast, but the aircraft has been known to deploy to the BAe Military Aircraft factory, Warton, and to RAF Lossiemouth.
Equatorial Guinea, the only Spanish-speaking country in Africa, has seen a boost in aviation in recent years due to the thriving oil industry. To meet demands, Ecuato Guineana de Aviation, the country’s national airline, has added McDonnell Douglas DC-9-32 9Q-CWF to its fleet. It is seen here on its delivery flight at Doula International Airport on March 26, 2001. It joins the airline’s other aircraft, An-24 EW-46631 leased from Belarus operator Gomelavia.
