Savoia-Marchetti S.64 (Italy)
Developed specifically for attempts at world duration and distance records. Power was provided by a 372.6 kW (500 hp) Fiat A.22T engine. During May and June 1928 the S.64 set up three new world records, culminating with a distance of 8,188.8 km (5,088.275 miles) covered in a closed circuit.
