Air International 2012-11 / G.Martin - Africa Aerospace and Defence
One of the more unusual sights at AAD 2012 was the debut of the prototype C-Wolf amphibious bush aircraft, under development by South African start-up VliegMasjien. Work on it began in January 2011 and first flight is scheduled for 2013. A first order has been received. The company claims the C-Wolf is Africa's first amphibious aircraft and its ADEPT Airmotive 320T to be the continent's first locally developed general aviation engine. This 320hp (236.8kW) unit can run on petrol, avgas or biofuel.
