??? - International Restoration /Veteran & Vintage/
The restored Jeannin Taube hangs above the Albatros B IIa, in the Museum fur Verkehr und Technik in West Berlin.
A close-up of the Albatros, which is destined to be returned to the Polish Aviation Museum in Krakow.
The Albatros B IIa, which is a post-war production example, has been finished in the standard Polish colours of 1919 and is fitted with a fully restored and working Mercedes engine.
Like the Albatros, the Jeannin Taube is fitted with a Mercedes engine that has been completely restored by the parent company in Stuttgart, in an effort occupying 6,000 manhours. The Continental Corporation, producer of the original orange-yellow rubberised covering fabric, made up a batch for the Taube using the original formula and exact specifications of 1913/14.
