N.Pittaway - Maximising Capability /Military/
The Royal Australian Air Force's 12 C-130J-30S are operated by No.37 Squadron from RAAF Base Richmond. The co-located No.285 Squadron, responsible for training, borrows aircraft as required.
Raising crews’ skill levels in different disciplines, from air drops and static line parachuting to NVGs, is one of the key aspects of No.285 Squadron's work.
The training remediation programme also involves changes to loadmaster and technical training regimes.
