This view of the Be-103 shows to good effect the overall configuration of the aircraft and, in particular, the novel engine location and unusual wing planform, with its broad chord root extension. Clearly visible is the spray deflector, extending from the nose as a chamfered edge to the boat hull. Also noteworthy is the fixed wing slot adopted to improve the aircraft's stall characteristics.
