  • 20 июля 2007г: совершил первый полет экспериментальный самолет Boeing X-48B Blended Wing Body (BWB), вторая из построенных машин. Полет состоялся на базе Эдвардс в Калифорнии. Разработанный подразделением "Phantom Works" фирмы "Boeing", ВВС США и НАСА, прототип X-48B был построен в Британии фирмой "Cranfield Aerospace".

  • One of the early benefactors of FAP may be the F-35 Lightning II. Although Lockheed Martin has not committed to using EFB3 technology in the aircraft's construction, the process is under consideration.

  • A Lockheed Martin concept produced as part of the Environmentally Responsible Aviation Project for future aircraft configurations. Under the wider Fundamental Aeronautics Program, some interesting engineering processes have also been studied to enable such aircraft to be produced.
    Future subsonic aircraft designs could be powered with turbofan engines that incorporate technology currently under research as part of NASA's ERA project.
