??? - Vinka enters service
The first production Vinka. which was officially accepted by the Finnish air arm in October, emerges from its hangar at Kuorevesi. Possessing aesthetically attractive yet businesslike contours, the Vinka promises major economies in the training syllabus when it achieves full-scale service at the Central Flying School later this year.
The first production Vinka photographed during acceptance trials from the Haiti air base during last summer.
The FFV Uni-Gun pod is one of many items of weaponry that may be toted by the Vinka for the light tactical support mission.
The instrument panel of the Vinka reflects the close attention that has been paid to ergonomics in the cockpit design of the trainer, the longitudinal central console also serving to reinforce the floor.
