The MD.610 was slightly longer than the British Hawker Siddeley Kestrel at 14·8m (48ft 8in) to the Kestrel’s 12·95m (42ft 6in) and with a greater span of 8·8m (28ft 10 1/2 in) to the Kestrel’s 6·99m (22ft 11in)
The Cavalier was to carry a single freefall nuclear bomb in a semi-recessed bay directly beneath the single engine. The undercarriage was of bicycle configuration, with stabilising skids extending from the fuselage for ground operations
