While "Flight in the China Air Space 1910-1950", reviewed on this page, devotes a short chapter to the Central Aircraft Manufacturing Company (CAMCO), it provides no details of the US aircraft actually built by this organisation and makes no reference to the indigenous design of combat aircraft in China. One such combat aircraft that, in consequence, goes unrecorded in this book is this neat single-seat fighter of Chinese design. It was referred to simply as "General Chu’s Pursuit XP-O" and no details have ever been revealed. Perhaps a reader may be able to enlighten us concerning this obscure warplane?
