KJ165 'O' sit s at Meiktila after its belly-landing there on 28 July 1945. It was never repaired so the picture was probably taken in August 1945. Note the white identification stripes on the tail and the white underside of the engine cowling.

FL809 at Meiktila apparently in No.5 Squadron codes OQ-Z. In the table , this is not shown as No.5 but neither is any fate known so it is probable that it was written-off in an accident at Meiktila after transfer to No.5 and the detailed paperwork failed to reach the Air Ministry.

The fourth production Sunderland being readied for delivery to No.210 Squadron, prior to being ferried out to No 230 Squadron in the Far East. The hatches for the retractable bomb racks can be seen under the wing root and nose and tail turrets only are fitted. Taken 25 May 1938 at Rochester.

Two Sunderland MR.5s of No.201 Squadron leave creamy wakes on a smooth sea at Pembroke Dock. The squadron operated Sunderlands for no fewer than 17 years, from April 1940 to February 1957.
