Mr.R.H.Dargue has sent in the photograph to supplement the coverage of Canadian Mosquitoes given in AM.3/85. It shows KB108(Z) after a forced landing at Lawrencetown, Nova Scotia, just before Christmas 1943.

On page 21 of 'Royal Air Force Aircraft SA100 - VZ999', there appears a photograph of a Spitfire VIII of No.273 Squadron on display in an Indian town square. Needless to say, one of our readers was there - and Allan Church tells us that it was not Indian but Burmese!
The exhibition took place about July 1945 at the Town Hall, Rangoon, shortly after the capture of the city. The Sule Pagoda is visible in the background. We will have to improve our pagoda recognition. One oddity is that the Spitfire has roundels not in use in Burma at that time but three Japanese kill markings. Possibly it had arrived by sea and the markings were put on to impress the local inhabitants.
