Intended for the Royal Navy in April 1940 but in fact taken on charge by the RAF as AW118, Hornet Moth G-AELO was restored on 20.8.47 and is still active as seen in this take-off study at the PFA Rally at Leicester in July 1980.

On the subject of G-AEHL, we have received this photo taken at Witney about 1939. Behind it the other two Swallows are G-AFGC and G-AELJ, with Moth G-AAKO at the end of the line. Of the four only G-AELJ was not impressed.
