    G-ALUX wearing a smart black and cream scheme with a dice motif ahead of the front cockpit. It was photographed at Newcastle on 1.7.61 by which time it was in the ownership of H.J. Pelham.

    A very crudely marked G-ALOE at Elstree on 6.9.50. The underwing registration appears to be in mirror-image! The aircraft was sold in Belgium later.

    One of the few postwar silver RAF Magisters, P6455 was operating with Reserves at Shoreham in the late 1940s. Though sold to Short it was not converted to civil use.

    G-AHNW gets a swing at Elstree in March 1954. It wears Elstree Flying Club titles, that club being one of those operated by the Wolverhampton Flying School group. G-AHNW was written off at Elstree on 2.6.57.

    G-AIDF was owned by the Denham Flying Club when photographed there on 6.2.60. It too was once a racing machine, having reached 147 mph as a race mean in 1950, but it was wrecked by a gale at Southend in 1968.

    G-AKRV was modified with this enclosed cockpit when on wartime communications duties. In 1950 it won the King's Cup air race and although no National Air Races were held in 1951 it was still in racing trim when seen at Hatfield on 23.6.51.

    G-AIUE was operated by PFA Group no.74 resplendent in red fuselage and blue wings when photographed on 29.4.61 at Coventry. It survived for one more year before being written off 26.8.62 at Seething.
