Pete Williams, our Arabian Peninsula specialist on military matters, has sent in the photo of RRAF 112 taken at Khormaksar in 1960. The red flag shows that it is 'armed and dangerous'.

Peter Berry has sent in these photos of Beech Travellers used by Aden Communications Flight at Khormaksar. We know of FL653, FZ428, FZ434 and FZ439 while FL656 was used by No.8 Squadron at Khormaksar.

We have FZ434 c/n 4924 flying over rugged Hadnamont country in Aden on 10.2.44. This probably indicates that the aircraft served, with others already identified, in the Aden Communications Flight. (David Bennett, who flew it in the area!)

The B.A.T Baboon, designed by Frederick Koolhoven, possibly after a bad night. It first appeared in June 1918 as an elementary trainer and no effort was spared to make it basic. The upper and lower wings were interchangeable and the 170 hp ABC Wasp radial was simply bolted to the firewall.
The RAF did not want it and the sole example went on to the civil register after the war as K-124, later G-EACO.
