An Aeritalia G.222 tactical transport undergoing flight-testing prior to delivery to the Aeronautica Militare Italiana.
The G.222 operated by the Dubaian element of the air arm of the United Arab Emirates, which, now sporting the green-white-black roundel with vertical red segment adopted by the UAE, was undergoing overhaul at Capodichino during AIR International's visit.
Four G.222 transports have been exported to-date, one (illustrated) being the fourth production example delivered to the Dubaian element of the United Arab Emirates Air Force and the other three, the eighth, ninth and 21st production examples, being delivered to Argentina's Comando de Aviacion Ejercito.
