Russian Aviation Museum
Be-112 is designed as a multi-role amphibian for rural areas with sufficient open water areas. Following applications are considered:
- Passenger
- Cargo
- Mail delivery
- S.A.R.
- Patrol
- Firefighter
Passenger variant is designed with pressurized cabin. V-tail with tailplane serves as a pylon for pair of turboprops, providing best possible engine protection from water indigestion.
When project started in the 1995 series production of Be-112 was planned for 2005. Financing problems of Russian aviation industry slowed it down considerably, current status of project is unknown.
