The AME unmanned air systems' Fury 1500 Special Mission unmanned air vehicle has completed 100 hours of its 200-hour development programme. The UAS recently completed a 14.2 hour flight, controlled by the SharkFin mission management software. It is being developed for an undisclosed customer, which has a requirement for a 15-hour endurance for the catapult launched air vehicle. The Fury 1500 first flew in November 2010 and has been modified with a new wing and heavy-fuel powerplant.
