Trans-sonic bomber M-32 was the first proposal by V.M.Myasichev OKB-23 made just one year after OKB was established.

It was one if the very first efforts to create a transsonic aircraft, utilizing airdynamic advantages of flight at M=1. It turned to be a complex problem. To achieve an optimal performance, flight had to be performed within very narrow envelope of
parameters.

OKB-23 did not receive a state order for M-32, and project was terminated.

Same concept of economical transsonic flight came back in 1970s.
