Сикорский затем построил один экземпляр двухмоторного самолета S-37 - на нем Рене Фонк хотел совершить вторую попытку трансатлантического перелета. Однако его опередил Чарльз Линдберг, совершивший перелет через Атлантику и приземлившийся в Париже. Самолет же в итоге поступил в коммерческую эксплуатацию в Аргентине - он прибыл в Буэнос-Айрес, имея на борту восемь пассажиров и 2268 кг груза. Во время полета он достиг высоты 5791 м - во время преодоления Анд.

The S-37 was a 100ft span sesquiplane with two 500 hp P&W 9-cyl Hornet radial engines intended for a second attempt at the Atlantic crossing, dropped after Lindbergh's success. The triple-rudder tail unit shows clearly, also the 1fi bay wing compared with the 2fi bays on the S-35.

The Guardian, a bomber version of the S-37, was built by Sikorsky. The armament was fitted by Consolidated who added the number 'XP-496' on the rudder and were to have built production aircraft, but none were ordered. It was converted for civil use as the S-37-B.
The aircraft is a twin-engined light bomber roughly equal to the Boulton Paul Sidestrand. It was with the USAAC at Wright Field in 1927 for testing but never received a USAAC designation. The fin, oddly, does not seem to have a rudder. It has the title 'Consolidated Sikorsky Guardian' in the white stripes above the tailplane and 'XP-496' below it. -
