Air firing exercises at Gormanstown in 1938. The officer climbing aboard is Commandant Des Johnston, while the occupant of the rear cockpit is Lt Paddy Swan, who retired in May as Colonel Commanding the Irish Air Corps after a long and varied flying career.
No 14 before delivery to Ireland.
No 14 after wind lifted its tail during a landing in the late 1930s.
Aircraft Nos 15 and 16 were both disposed of when their engines failed at Baldonnel during approach, the first on February 9, 1940, and the latter on March 14, 1938.
