RATOG recollections
Sir, I was fascinated to read the Preservation Profile on the Seafire F.17 in your September issue, as I had one at RNAS Yeovilton while I was in command there hack in 1944-45. The enclosed photograph shows me making a rocket-assisted take-off in Seafire IIC MB307 at Yeovilton in the late afternoon of October 31, 1944, in the presence of the Press.
