The five B-29s are as follows: 44-70049 (aft fuselage and tail missing); 44-87779 (vertical and horizontal tail surfaces missing); 44-84084 (an SB-29, known as a Superdumbo, which accompanied bombers on Japanese ops and was equipped with lifeboats under the fuselage. There were 16 such conversions); 42-65281, the oldest aircraft at China Lake, and 44-69729.
