The Ca 313’s engines were 730 h.p. Isotta-Fraschini Delta RC 35 air-cooled inverted V-12s. The propellers were Alfa-Romeo H365 counter-rotating three-bladed metal units.

Ca 313s were delivered from the Caproni factory in Milan and delivered to F3 wing at Malmen, Linkoping, which was to become the training base for subsequent groups.

More than a quarter of the 84 Ca 313s delivered to the Swedish Air Force were totally written off through accidents. There were many others that were slightly damaged through landing mishaps, like the example here.
