A Scud I used by the Guernsey Gliding Club at St Peter Port in the Channel Islands in the 1930s. Altogether smaller than the Scud II, it also had a much lower aspect-ratio wing and a distinctive truncated rudder with a scalloped trailing edge. Mike Beach also owns a replica Scud I which he completed a little over two years ago.
