??? - Brasilia: The Capital Commuter
The first of the Embraer EMB-120 Brasilia commuter liners, photographed on an early flight test from Sao Jose dos Campos.
The elegant lines of the Brasilia are clearly shown by this photograph which was taken during the first week of flight testing of the first prototype.
The Brasilia was rolled-out at Sao Jose dos Campos on 29 July in accordance with a schedule established some two years ago. The ceremony was attended by more than 1,500 guests and the entire Embraer workforce of almost 7,000 employees.
The first prototype Brasilia is seen being prepared for its initial flight which took place on 27 July, two days before the official inaugural flight.
The exceptionally clean contours of the Brasilia nose are well portrayed in the photograph.
