The prototype Ki-92, Tachikawa’s answer to the Curtiss C-46, flew disappointingly and only once, in the spring of 1945. It is shown here sheltering a Tachikawa-built Ki-43-II fitted with shackles for 550lb bombs for the anticipated invasion of Honshu.
