The L-39NG is playing a massive part shaping the future of Aero Vodochody. With two customers already, the company is pressing ahead with its newer ambitions and more sales campaigns

Many customers have been sending their older L-39Cs for maintenance repair and overhaul, as well as to be upgraded with the new L-39NG avionics, including the Speel HUD and Genesys avionics systems. This will enable them to transition to the L-39NG much more easily
The L-39NG houses the latest technologies, which will enable customers to train pilots in a modern cockpit
The heightened rear cockpit of the L-39NG means the instructor or rear pilot can see what the student is doing in the front seat
The sun sets on another day of L-39NG flight testing at Aero Vodochody’s Odolena Voda facility. The trainer version was granted its EMAC certification in September 2020, and the light attack version should follow in late 2022
The second pre-series L-39NG has been sharing flight testing responsibilities and is flying with the new Prague-based LPP visual display processor, which will enable pilots to view the avionics in an eastern format
