D.Willis - Phenom 100. Foundation of Embraer's Executive Plans /Commercial/
This view of the Phenom 100 shows off its smooth, classic lines. The maximum operating Mach number of 0.7 has allowed a simple, straight wing to be incorporated into the design. This aircraft has successfully completed initial flight envelope, performance and flying qualities tests.
Maiden flight of the first Phenom 100 PP-XPH was on July 26, 2007. The red and white cone trailing from the fin tip was used for pressure measurements. By late November, the first two aircraft had accumulated more than 150 flight hours
Since this photograph of the second Phenom 100 was taken, during manufacture at Sao Jose dos Campos, the aircraft has made its first flight and is carrying out engine and flutter testing.
A variety of cabin seating arrangements and amenities are available to suit customer preferences. Available space is maximised by what Embraer calls an 'oval lite' cross-section, providing additional leg and foot room.
Three 12in Garmin G1000 flight displays feature prominently on the instrument panel of both the Phenom 100 and 300. They are major elements of Embraer's Prodigy flight deck, an integrated package built around Garmin avionics.
This computer-generated image of the Phenom 300 will become a reality when the aircraft takes to the air this summer. Assembly of the first aircraft began in August 2007 and by the end of November, all the fuselage sections had been mated.
