D.Carrara, P.Moga - Raptor Swoops into Britain /Military/
At most airshows in the US the Raptor will fly in formation with another USAF demonstration fast-jet, like this F-15E Strike Eagle, and Heritage Flight aircraft such as the World War Two era P-51 Mustang pictured. At present there are no plans for the F-22A to fly in formation with other aircraft at the UK airshows.
Lockheed Martin's F-22A Raptor will make its European debut in July 2008, appearing at RIAT and the Farnborough International Airshow.
Major Moga climbs steeply as part of his routine in the F-22A. Normally he flies a Langley AFB aircraft (tail-code ’FF’), though if performing at another Raptor base an example from the resident fleet will be used to save costs. In this case a Raptor from Elmendorf AFB, Alaska was utilised.
Major Paul D 'Max’ Moga is in his second year as the F-22A demonstration pilot and is supported by ten other airforce personnel. This year the Raptor will be flown at 22 US airshows, as well as Fairford and Farnborough.
