  • Another view of Grace’s Farman. According to a report in The Aero, “The real fun began several days before the ‘meeting’ opened, when Mr A. Lane-Joynt, a well-known Dublin solicitor, brought a case before the Master of the Rolls, sitting as Vacation Judge, to injunct the Leopardstown club against charging him and two unnamed ladies 7s 6d each for admission, on the grounds that as a member of the club he had a right of entry for himself and two ladies at all times, and not to horse races only. ‘The Rolls’ told Mr Joynt it was an outrageous case to bring him from his happy home during Vacation in order to save Mr Joynt 22s 6d, and after deliberating a day or so gave judgment for the Leopardstown club".
