Following on from the article on RAF Mohawks in AM.2/80, Jim Birch has sent in the photograph of AR630 visiting the Rolls-Royce airfield at Hucknall. Although no date is shown, it seems likely that it was visiting from Hendon where it served with the Metropolitan Communications Squadron, ex-No.510 Squadron.

It is always nice to see proof that our information is reasonably accurate and Dr.R. Kirby has produced the photograph showing the demise of S1787 at Lee-on-Solent and not, as appears at first glance, a radical new undercarriage modification on the Fairey IIIF .
