From Lewis Cooper, author of The Hornet File comes this photo of PX315 after flap bracket failure caused it to over-run Hatfield on 6 September 1946. Test Pilot John Greenland was trapped in the cockpit, jack-knifed over the control column which was pressing into his stomach. Exit was eventually attained by cutting a hole in the starboard side.
