G-AEXF had been acquired by Mr Victor Vermorel of Villefranche-sur-Saone in 1939. During the war he hid it in the factory of the spray equipment firm that he managed. He was killed in the Vercors fighting and an uncle, Mr Drapier, was given the Mew Gull. It had returned to Lyon-Bron by 1948 and was reassembled there with the help of Mr Raymond Barreau, seen adjusting the controls in the photo. This photo, from R.
