Armouring of Aircraft. On 7 July 1938, trials were begun with Blenheim K7150 with engines fitted and a dummy crew. In October, further trials with K7168 involved a 20 mm cannon and in February 1939, a Hurricane was set up to fire at the Blenheim to test the effect of multiple guns, followed by trials with a 20 mm Hispano cannon firing high explosive.
