Russia's newest aircraft-carrier, "Minsk" - a sister to "Kiev" and second ship in the "Kuril" class - photographed off Crete in February this year by an R.A.F. Nimrod. In July "Minsk" arrived at Vladivostok to join the Soviet Navy’s Far Eastern Fleet.
