Регистрационный номер: WA529 The photographs were taken by Jenny on 21 June 1958 at an open day at Ford. The carcass of WA529 had been deposited so that the station fire crew could show how they put out aircraft fires. In a short time, the flames had taken hold, leaving a blackened hulk.

Регистрационный номер: TS409 [2] As recorded in the last issue, Attacker TS409 had a lopsided arrival at Culdrose on 28th October 1949. Geoff Wakeham has supplied some photos of this event. The aircraft had flown to Culdrose to carry out deck landing trials on Illustrious off the Cornish coast. After refuelling, the pilot, Lt Cdr G Hawkes, decided to do some Airfield Dummy Deck Landings before flying out to the ship. On his fifth run, he found he could not get a green light to show that his starboard undercarriage was locked down and to make matters worse he could not raise the port undercarriage leg to make a belly landing. He therefore decided to make an emergency landing on the grass alongside the main runway, which he executed perfectly. The aircraft slewed across the runway and came to rest facing the direction it had just come from. Lt Cdr Hawkes was uninjured and TS409 was soon back on its undercarriage with virtually no damage having been caused.
