Glory days: Bristol Freighter G-AIFV over Le Touquet. Originally built as a Mk IIA, ’FV had quite an exotic history, having begun its career with Dalmia Jain Airways in India as VT-CID in December 1946; it then passed to Indian National Airways before returning to the UK, where it was modified to Mk 21 standard before joining Silver City in March 1950. It was withdrawn from use at Lydd in October 1961.
