The Fokker V40 light single seater with 35 hp Anzani engine, built for the sporting private owner but there was no postwar market. The pilot in front is probably Adolf Plage who made the first flight and that of the V45 F II prototype.

Air-Britain Archive 2005-03 / J.Meaden - Fokker - from war to peace
A historic photograph depicting the Fokker prototype F II airliner and the V40 single-seater being shown off together, possibly at Amsterdam in 1920. The F II cabin door is open and a short ladder is positioned to allow entry, while the tail of the V40 is raised to demonstrate its light weight and to simulate its flying attitude.
