Russian Aviation Museum

This aircraft was derived from B.Chernov flying boat. Sergey Tsar'kov promised to organize Chernov flying boat production and KUAZ (Samara aviation factory) and was given the set of documentation. He failed to fulfill the mission but built Frigate using
changed drawings.

The plane has 2 3-cylinder engines made in Biysk. Tuning and control of those engines is not an easy task since each of them has 3(!) carburetors, one per cylinder. Plus their reliability is very low. As a result the plane is not a nice thing to fly.

The future of this specimen is hard to predict, especially taking into consideration that original Chernov boat is protected by patent.
