Camair Twin Navion (USA)
Twin-engined four-seat version of the North American/Ryan Navion light aircraft. The prototype CTN-A was built and flown in 1953. Production began with the CTN-B powered by two 179 kW (240 hp) Continental O-470-B engines and a total of 28 were delivered between 1955 and 1959. The CTN-C was flown in 1960 with 194 kW (260 hp) Continental IO-470-D engines and a number of Bs were brought up to this standard. The CTN-D appeared in prototype form with 224 kW (300 hp) Continental IO-520 engines. Production of new aircraft has been suspended but Camair is able to modify Bs and Cs to D configuration.
G-ARIT, the first Temco D.16 Twin Navion on the British register, was a recent visitor to Biggin Hill.
